How does hydroelectric energy work?
Hydroelectric energy is made by the force of falling water. The water is held behind a dam, kind of like a lake. The force of the water from the lake going through the dam spins the blades of a giant turbine. The turbine is connected to the generator that makes electricity when you need it as it spins. |
